It's best to visit Queensland in our Winter...
Most of Queensland is best visited in Winter (April to September). Beautifully warm and sunny with low humidity it's by far the best time to visit fantastic places like the Great Barrier Reef, The Whitsunday Islands, Daintree Rainforest and Fraser Island.

You can choose from short Self Guided Tours of 4 days or so in the local area or discover spectacular routes to other cities such as Sydney, Cairns and Melbourne . There's even a cross continent tour to Perth if you'd like that once in a lifetime adventure!

Brisbane is a cosmopolitan, cultured town set on the banks of the Brisbane River, and a great starting point for many of our self guided tours. It has a great street café scene, is a magnet for lovers of theatre and nightlife and a superb shopping centre for those needing some retail therapy.

A little north and you have the stunning Fraser Island with it's huge beaches, crystal clear freshwater lakes and prehistoric looking rainforest.

A stone's throw further (in Australian terms!) is the Great Barrier Reef. The lovely small coastal towns of Agnes Water are a gateway to the reef and snorkelling/diving on the coral gardens is a 'must do' experience.

Carry on and you are in Far North Queensland with the laid back tropical towns of Cairns, Port Douglas and Cape Tribulation in the Daintree - the oldest rainforest on earth.

A little south of Brisbane and you have the holiday Mecca of the Gold Coast and the scenic small town of Byron Bay. It is has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with a small town centre right next to a beautiful beach. It's also the most easterly point in Australia.

Keep riding south and you have, in our opinion, the best riding roads in Australia. The Waterfall Way, Hunter Valley and Blue Mountains are highlights of a superb ride to Sydney and even further south you'll find yourself in the Snowy Mountains and Victorian Alps on the way to Melbourne. True alpine scenery and roads in Australia? Absolutely - we've more ski runs than Switzerland!
