From
your collection point on the Sunshine Coast there's great biking
roads and scenery both along the coast and through the beautiful
hinterland.
You'll ride north to the lovely coastal town of Rainbow Beach
where there's the option to extend the tour to 8 days and take
a 4WD tour of Fraser Island.
You'll then continue north up to the town of 1770 where the Great
Barrier Reef is within easy reach. Again you have the option to
extend the tour by a day to take a boat trip and snorkel on the
coral gardens of the reef.
From there you'll ride south west through pretty countryside to
the town of Gayndah before moving south through the Bunya Mountains
to the garden city of Toowoomba. Next you'll head through the
rolling hills of the northern NSW hinterland towards the coast
to visit Australia's most easterly point at the atmospheric town
of Byron Bay.
Great roads and fantastic scenery with rainforests, superb coastlines
and great small towns in which to spend your evenings...
Noosa
- With beaches drenched by year round sun, pristine waters and
a friendly welcome, Noosa is an upmarket coastal resort town.
The coastal Noosa National Park is a great place to get up close
and personal with that laid back Aussie icon, the Koala, or why
not relax in one of the many galleries, markets or shops.
This area also has an amazing hinterland with superb biking
roads and great lookouts through the rainforests and mountains
of the Great Dividing Range.
Rainbow Beach and Fraser Island
- Rainbow Beach is a small tourist town located next to the rainbow
coloured sands of the nearby beaches. It's a nice place in itself
but it is best known as a gateway to the magnificent Fraser Island.
This island has amazing beaches, crystal clear freshwater lakes,
huge sand dunes and rainforest with prehistoric king ferns. It
can only be seen by 4WD and many people take a tour of the island
during their visit. We can arrange this for you for AU$159 per
person including a buffet lunch. Ask us for details if you'd like
to extend your stay to see the amazing natural sights of Fraser
Island.
1770
- Historical links, excellent beaches, natural beauty - this place
has it all! The Town Of 1770 is a picturesque seaside village
surrounded on three sides by water. Historically noted as the
second landing site of James Cook and the crew of the Endeavour
in May 1770 (hence the name), the area is rich in wildlife and
natural beauty and offers stunning scenic vistas in every direction.
It's also a great spot from which to visit the Great Barrier Reef
and the nearby Lady Musgrave Island. You've not come this far
not to see it so we can arrange your boat/snorkel trip out to
the most famous reef in the world for AU$160 per person including
tea/coffee and lunch.
Gayndah - At the heart of
Queensland's Citrus Country, Gayndah, which was settled in 1849,
is the oldest town in Queensland. It offers an authentic country
experience with a variety of relaxing and interesting attractions
including the historical museum and a great view of the surrounding
countryside from Mount Gayndah. You can be sure of a good old
fashined country welcome!
Bunya
Mountains - Discover cool mountains with ancient rainforests,
unique range-top grasslands, panoramic views, colourful birdlife
and the largest stand of ancient bunya pines in the world. All
accessed via steep and winding roads climbing up the mountains.
Toowoomba - A picturesque
mountain city clinging to the edge of the Great Dividing Range
escarpment at an altitude of seven hundred meters above sea-level,
the city has breathtaking views of Table Top Mountain and the
Lockyer Valley region across the east. Known as Queensland's Garden
City it is a great place to spend the evening after a day's ride.
Northern NSW - More back
roads, picturesque villages, wooden bridges, rolling green hills
and friendly people will make you want to stay longer. Sit back,
enjoy the scenery, stop for coffee or a leisurely lunch. Life's
much better viewed from the saddle!
Byron Bay - Yet another spectacular back road winds through
northern NSW to Australia's most easterly point at Byron Bay.
There are beautiful beaches, a lively and friendly small town
and a lovely hinterland. Once a centre for 'alternative lifestylers'
it has a unique atmosphere. You can relax on the beach, visit
the famous lighthouse with its spectacular views and enjoy the
atmosphere in town at one of the many good restaurants. You have
an extra day here to relax or explore some more roads through
the hinterland - the choice is yours! It's a great place to enjoy
a couple of leisurely days and evenings before returning to Brisbane.
Gold Coast - Australia's
most visited holiday destination. Great beaches, all the top theme
parks, busy nightlife and a surprisingly beautiful hinterland.
If you want it busy you've got it, if you prefer the views then
you can have them too!

End your tour at one of the many top quality Sunshine Coast restaurants
and raise a glass to an amazing week filled with some of the best
sights Australia has to offer.
