Begin
in Noosa and ride north to the lovely coastal town of Rainbow
Beach. There's the option to extend the tour to 8 days here, and
do a 4WD tour of Fraser Island or continue north up to the town
of 1770. From there you'll ride south west through rolling countryside
to the town of Gayndah, before moving south through the Bunya
Mountains to Toowoomba. From there you'll head back out towards
the coast, via Surfers Paradise, to visit Australia's most easterly
point at Byron Bay.
Great roads and fantastic scenery with rainforests, superb coastlines
and great small towns in which to spend your evenings...
Noosa - Beaches drenched
by year round sun, pristine waters and a friendly welcome; Noosa,
just north of Brisbane is the ideal place to begin a motorcycle
tour. Noosa National Park is a great place to get up close and
personal with that laid back Aussie icon, the Koala; or why not
relax in one of the many galleries, markets or shops on offer.
Rainbow
Beach and Fraser Island (Fraser Island on 8 day tour only).
Rainbow Beach is a small tourist town located next to the rainbow
coloured sands of the nearby beaches. It's a nice place in itself
with a good ride leading you to it but it is well known as a gateway
to the magnificent Fraser Island. This island has amazing beaches,
crystal clear freshwater lakes, huge sand dunes and rainforest
with prehistoric king ferns. It can only be seen by 4WD and many
people take a tour of the island during their visit. We can arrange
this for you for AU$145 p.person including lunch. Ask us for details
if you'd like to extend your stay to see the amazing sights of
Fraser Is.

1770 - The Town Of 1770 is
an extremely picturesque seaside village surrounded on three sides
by water. Historically noted as the second landing site of James
Cook and the crew of the Endeavour in May 1770 (hence the name),
the area is rich in wildlife and natural beauty and offers stunning
scenic vistas in every direction. It's also a great spot fom where
to visit the Great Barrier Reef, or the nearby Lady Musgrave Island.
Gayndah - At the heart of
Queensland's Citrus Country, Gayndah, which was settled in 1849,
is the oldest town in Queensland. It offers an authentic country
experience with a variety of relaxing and interesting attractions;
including the historical museum, and a wide range of opportunities
to view the surrounding countryside from Mount Gayndah.
Bunya
Mountains - Discover cool mountains with ancient rainforests,
unique range-top grasslands, panoramic views, colourful birdlife
and the largest stand of ancient bunya pines in the world today.
All accessed via steep and winding roads climbing up the mountains.
Toowoomba - A picturesque
mountain city clinging to the edge of the Great Dividing Range
escarpment at an altitude of seven hundred meters above sea-level,
the city has breathtaking views of Table Top Mountain and the
Lockyer Valley region across the east. Known as Queenslands Garden
City it is a great place to spend the evening after a day's ride.
Sunshine Coast - this area
has an amazing hinterland with superb biking roads and great lookouts
through the rainforests and mountains of the Great Dividing Range.
See the Glass House Mountains, take walks in dense rainforest,
stop at the quaint old fashioned villages and even spend a few
hours at the late Steve Irwin's famous Australia Zoo. Combined
with the lovely coastal town of Noosa it's a fantastic area to
explore.
Byron Bay - Yet another spectacular back road winds through
northern NSW to Australia's most easterly point at Byron Bay.
There are beautiful beaches, a lively and friendly small town
and a lovely hinterland. Once a centre for 'alternative lifestylers'
it has a unique atmosphere. You can relax on the beach, visit
the famous lighthouse and enjoy the atmosphere in town at one
of the many good restaurants.
