 Collect
your bike from the beautiful Sunshine Coast and you are immediately
surrounded by the superb roads and scenery of the hinterland.
Ride to the lovely coastal town of Rainbow Beach. There's the
option to extend the tour to 5 days and do a 4WD tour of Fraser
Island or continue through the beautiful Bunya Mountains to the
town of Toowoomba. From there you'll ride south east through rolling
countryside to the most easterly point in Australia at Byron Bay.
The final day takes you back via Surfers Paradise and the beaches
of the Gold Coast.
Great roads and fantastic scenery with rainforests, superb coastlines
and great small towns in which to spend your evenings...
Sunshine Coast - this area
has an amazing hinterland with superb biking roads and great lookouts
through the rainforests and mountains of the Great Dividing Range.
See the Glass House Mountains, take walks in dense rainforest,
stop at the quaint old fashioned villages and even spend a few
hours at the late Steve Irwin's famous Australia Zoo. Combined
with the lovely coastal town of Noosa it's a fantastic area to
explore.
 Rainbow
Beach and Fraser Island - Rainbow Beach is a small tourist
town located next to the rainbow coloured sands of the nearby
beaches. It's a nice place in itself but it is well known as a
gateway to the magnificent Fraser Island. This island has amazing
beaches, crystal clear freshwater lakes, huge sand dunes and rainforest
with prehistoric king ferns. It can only be seen by 4WD and many
people take a tour of the island during their visit. We can arrange
this for you for AU$159 per person including a buffet lunch. Ask
us for details if you'd like to extend your stay to see the amazing
natural sights of Fraser Island.
Bunya Mountains - Discover
cool mountains with ancient rainforests, unique range-top grasslands,
panoramic views, colourful birdlife and the largest stand of ancient
bunya pines in the world today. All accessed via steep and winding
roads climbing up the mountains.
Toowoomba - A picturesque
mountain city clinging to the edge of the Great Dividing Range
escarpment at an altitude of seven hundred meters above sea-level,
the city has breathtaking views of Table Top Mountain and the
Lockyer Valley region across the east. Known as Queensland's Garden
City it is a great place to spend the evening after a day's ride.
Northern NSW - Picturesque
towns, old-fashioned wooden bridges, rolling green hillsides,
pockets of rain forest and traffic-free back roads. Sit back,
enjoy the scenery passing by, stop for a coffee and bask in the
sunlight. Mix with the friendly locals and grab a bite to eat.
Life's much better when viewed from a bike!
Byron Bay - Australia's most easterly point, Byron Bay
has beautiful beaches, a lively and friendly small town and a
lovely hinterland. Once a centre for 'alternative lifestylers'
it has a unique atmosphere. You can relax on the beach, visit
the famous lighthouse with its spectacular coastal views and enjoy
the atmosphere in town at one of the many good restaurants. It's
a great place to celebrate a final night!
Gold Coast - Australia's
most visited holiday destination. Great beaches, all the top theme
parks, busy nightlife and a surprisingly beautiful hinterland.
If you want it busy you've got it, if you prefer the views then
you can have them too!
If you spend the morning on the Gold Coast then a quick ride back
is via up the motorway through Brisbane but if you have a little
more time why not take the scenic route back road through the
pineapple plantations of the Sunshine Coast hinterland.
